Cars - Terms & Conditions

AGE: The age of each driver must be at least 24 years old for Mini Cars. For all other categories the minimum age is 24 years old. An additional charge may be required for young drivers in the Mini Cars category.

MAXIMUM DRIVING AGE: (70) Seventy years old.

DRIVING LICENSE: A valid driving licence, valid for at least (3) three years, containing Latin characters. No photocopies or e-mails will be accepted.

MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD: (3) Three days.

FINES: Traffic tickets and subsequent fines resulting from traffic violations during the rental period are charged only to the renter.

FUEL: Paid by the renter who is responsible for returning the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as it was when the vehicle was delivered.

METHODS OF PAYMENT: Cash, Credit card where possible (American Express is NOT accepted).

THE RENTER: Must return the vehicle in the same good mechanical condition as delivered.

THE RENTER: Must return the vehicle at the agreed time stated in the contract. He will be charged an additional fee per hour of delay (Cars: € 20/hour - Scooters/ATVs: € 10/hour).

THE RENTER: Must maintain the interior of the car in good condition (e.g. wet seats, excessive use of sunscreen, etc.). Otherwise, there will be a fine.

THE RENTER: Has the right to cancel the reservation. "Auto Traffic Rentals" has no obligation to return the deposit to the renter.

"AUTO TRAFFIC RENTALS": Has the right to provide a vehicle similar to the one reserved.

ADDITIONAL DRIVER: Only one driver can be added to the contract at a time. There is an additional charge.

ONLINE BOOKING OF CARS: WITHOUT credit card deposit.

INSURANCE POLICY: All our vehicles are covered by a full insurance policy. In the event of an accident, the renter has no financial liability for both the rented vehicle and the vehicle of a third party involved.

• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is included. The wheels and tires of the vehicle are covered by the insurance only in the event of an accident. The underside, windshields, windows and mirrors of the vehicle are covered by the insurance only in the event of an accident.
• Partial Theft Protection (PTP) is included.
• Fire Protection (FP) is included.
• Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): The driver and the passengers are covered if an accident occurs. All persons ( passengers and driver) are required to use a seat belt. It is against the law to consume alcohol and drugs. In the event of an accident in which the driver has consumed alcohol and/or drugs, the insurance company will not cover the driver.
• Third Party Liability Insurance (TPLI) is included.
• Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW): This insurance includes: Partial Theft Protection (TP), Fire Protection (FP), Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) (including the drivers), Third Party Liability Insurance (TPLI). The renter in the event of an accident is fully insured and has no financial liability as long as a Greek traffic law has not been broken. Damage caused while an "Auto Traffic Rentals" car is on board ship is not covered by the insurance as well as damage caused intentionally or by negligence and by the use of incorrect fuel. The wheels and tires of the vehicle are covered by the insurance only in the event of an accident. The underside, windshields, windows and mirrors of the vehicle are covered by the insurance only in the event of an accident.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE: When you return the vehicle, make sure it is in good condition. Extreme/heavy dirt inside the vehicle is not covered by any insurance. For any vehicle returned in unacceptable condition (interior with trash, sand or mud, ash, salt water damage, liquid or other stains on seats and upholstery, torn fabrics, cigarette burns, dashboard damage) the charge is applied directly to the renter.

NOT INCLUDED: The key and radio-cd are not covered by insurance. The renter is responsible for the cost of replacing them in case of loss.

• Exception for the SCDW: Audi A3 Convertible, Fiat 500, Fiat 500 Convertible, Fiat 500 Convertible Auto, Fiat Doblo 5, Seats Diesel, Fiat Doblo 7 Seats Diesel, Fiat Talento 9 Seats Diesel, Hyundai Tucson, Mazda2 Hybrid Auto, MG ZS MAX Hybrid+, Mini Cooper Convertible Auto, Nissan Micra, Nissan Qashqai Auto, Peugeot 208, Peugeot 2008 GT, Peugeot 2008 GT Auto, Peugeot 3008, Peugeot 3008 Auto, Peugeot Traveller 9 Seats Diesel and Suzuki SX4 S-Cross Diesel (€ 1500 excess amount). The renter has the choice to reduce this excess amount from € 1500 to € 400 by paying € 9/day extra.

OUT OF THE ISLAND CAR INSURANCE (ONLY FOR KEFALONIA): The renter must have written approval from "Auto Traffic Rentals" to transport the vehicle outside Zakynthos. There is an additional charge per day.

When the vehicle is used outside Zakynthos, there is an excess in case of an accident:

• Automatic cars, Fiat Panda, Hyundai i10, Hyundai i20, Suzuki Jimny Convertible, Toyota Yaris, Toyota Yaris Diesel: € 500 excess amount.
• Audi A3 Convertible, Fiat 500, Fiat 500 Convertible, Fiat Doblo 5 Seats Diesel, Fiat Doblo 7 Seats Diesel and Fiat Talento 9 Seats Diesel: € 900 excess amount.
